Samoa here we go

I am Eloy Muñoz Salinas  and I am a Web and eLearning specialist, photography enthusiast, historian, designer, husband and father. For more info on me and why I do this blog you can check the about page.

My wife and me have been living in five countries since 2001, but this time we are doing something slightly different (and slightly crazy too).

This time we are moving three people (we have an -almost two years old- little girl) and we are going to a place that is far, very far from anything I know.

This is one of the once in a lifetime experience and we wanted to take the opportunity and change our lifestyle dramatically from busy day work from nine till seven, meetings, last minute changes, etc. for the life in a Polynesian island where life travels slow.

I know this is one of those things most of the people think on doing at least once in their lives. Well we are doing it right now and I am going to tell you how is it going.

I am going to talk about the history, traditions, food, sport and our experiences on the different areas of Samoa. Here I will share my pictures and my research concerning all about Samoa. I am also looking forward to hearing from you, your questions, suggestions and ideas.

Here in this first post I leave you the first bit of info on the the flag of Samoa that was adopted  on February 24, 1949. Consists of a red field with a blue rectangle in the canton. The blue rectangle bears the Southern Cross Constellation: four large white stars and one smaller star.

Stay tuned, soon I will start posting from there with more info and advices.
